Code Plugs

DMR Code Plugs

The links below will take you to a public folder in my One Drive Cloud Storage where you may select the Code Plug you desire and also the installation software if you don’t already have it. I am constantly adding more repeaters and talk groups to make the coverage of these Code Plugs greater and will be creating more Code Plugs for different areas around the country as I find the time. Please feel free to check back often to see whats new as I will post changes in the blog on the homepage.

PLEASE NOTE: You must first register with the  DMR-MARC website and receive a Subscriber ID. This is completely free and only takes a few minutes to complete. You will receive your unique ID within 72 hours. This ID goes into a Master Database which makes it possible for multiple DMR Networks to be bridged allowing Worldwide Communication without the confusion of two users using the same ID.

Once you have received you Subscriber ID you must start the programming software and open the file for the codeplug you want to use. Once you have opened the Code Plug file you must click on the General Settings Option on the left of the screen and it will open a window on the right of the screen. In the top right corner you will find two fields, Radio Name and Radio ID. You must enter your Subscriber ID in the Radio ID field and then place your name in the Radio Name Field. Once completed you should save the new version of the codeplug with your personal info on your computer in a location you will remember. Finally, you just have to click on the Write-to-Radio button at the top of the window and click OK. The radio will take about 1-2 minutes to complete and thats it. Simply turn on your radio and select the Zone (Repeater) and Channel (Talkgroup) of your choice and talk away.
